VALUES
OUR VALUES
The Culture (How we will seek to live out our priorities)
Our values are how we seek to live out our life of following Jesus together. They are like guardrails that help guide decision making and shape the culture of our church. It’s the combination of these values that we hope will uniquely mark what following Jesus in this community of believers looks like.
WORD AND SPIRIT
We are deeply anchored in the authority of Scripture while remaining dependent on the present work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit never contradicts the Word, and the Word is never meant to be followed apart from the Spirit who inspired it.
John 4:23
RELATIONAL AND MISSIONAL
We pursue authentic, loving relationships within the body of Christ while actively reaching out to the world around us with the gospel. We hold on to one another in love, and in love we reach out to those who don’t yet know Jesus.
John 17:20-21, John 20:21, Philemon 1:6
MATURING AND MULTIPLYING
We seek to grow in personal depth and Christ-likeness while also laboring to make new disciples. Healthy maturity leads to multiplication, and healthy multiplication requires maturity.
Ephesians 4:13, 15-16, 2 Timothy 2:2
GENUINE AND PASSIONATE
We value sincerity and integrity of heart without drifting into cold formality, and we embrace zeal for God without drifting into emotionalism or hype. Our passion flows from a genuine love for Christ and others.
Romans 12:9, 11
DIVERSITY AND UNITY
We celebrate the beauty of God-given diversity within the church while guarding our unity in Christ. Our unity is not uniformity, but a shared devotion to the gospel that binds us together across age, language, culture and ethnicity.
1 Corinthians 12:12
