COLLEGE
Vida College aims to help students live their college years for Jesus through building a relational community that is focused on growing together as disciples of Jesus within the local church.
The college years are a unique time of life. Moving away from home, being immersed in the seemingly limitless choices around you, plus the academic rigors all can make it hard to be a Christian college student. Yet these years are incredibly important and formative. Our desire is to strengthen you and help you stay on the narrow but life-giving path as disciples of Jesus.
VIDA COLLEGE NIGHT
Vida College Night is a weekly gathering of students to build relationships and grow as disciples of Jesus through Bible discussion, prayer & community. There are two key aims for these nights.
Growth
Our greatest desire is to mature as disciples of Jesus. This involves growing in love for God and for his people and living out lives of holiness. There will be specific attention to things relevant to this stage of life
Community
Our Christian faith isn’t to be lived in isolation. We create a space for real relationships to form and develop, as well as a place for living out the numerous “one another” imperatives in the Bible.
THE CHURCH
We believe that college students aren’t a separate “ministry” of the church but should be connected relationally with non-students while using their gifts, strengths & energy within the church. So while Vida College Night is specifically geared to students, we strongly encourage all students to become a member and get to know others outside of their life stage. This involves being a regular part of the local church: consistently attend Sunday services, serve and give.
